Escort Inc. Introduces New
G-Timer Vehicle Performance Meters

Radar detector innovator enters new product category

West Chester, Ohio, January 8, 2003: Escort Inc., well-known radar detector manufacturer and marketer, has announced its entry into the fast-growth vehicle performance accessory marketplace with the introduction of its new G-Timer™ Vehicle Performance Meters. Escort's new windshield-mounted G-Timer Vehicle Performance Meters will give sport compact, drag race, and sport car enthusiasts a tool that can accurately measure their vehicle's performance. The high-precision G-Timer products measure vehicle acceleration, speeds, and times (including quarter mile and 0-60 mph times), perform peak horsepower calculations, and measure and report continuous G-force readings including acceleration, braking, and cornering measurements (including 'friction circle'). The G-Timers are user-friendly (no manual required) and the unique power cord with built-in remote control makes operation simple and intuitive.

The high end G-Timer GT2 (SRP $249.95) includes the ability to save up to 10 timed runs for later downloading to PC, laptop, or PDA, and has an ultra-bright high resolution Vacuum-Fluorescent Text/Graphic display. The value-priced G-Timer GT1 (SRP $149.95) provides a more basic feature set and an LCD display. Both G-Timer Vehicle Performance Meters can be seen at Escort's CES display booth #2116.

Escort Inc. created the high-performance radar detector market in 1978, and has been issued more patents in the radar detector field than all radar detector manufacturers combined. ESCORT also manufactures the award-winning Passport 8500 X50, cordless Solo S2, Passport 7500, and the Passport SR7 radar and laser detectors.
