West Chester, Ohio, January 8, 2003: The new Passport SR7 Radar/Laser Detection System is a professionally
installed, fully integrated detector from Escort Inc., and provides the ultimate in detection
performance and vehicle installation. The SR7 features advanced long-range
sensitivity and includes the same feature set as that of Escort's high-end models.
The Passport SR7, designed for professional installation,
completely contours itself to the design of the user's vehicle as a fully integrated radar/laser
detection system. The SR7 consists of an under-the-hood mount X, K, and Ka
band receiver, both front and rear external laser receivers, and a display/control unit that blends
with the interior design and layout of the driver's automobile cockpit.
The most notable feature of the SR7 is its long range
sensitivity - sensitivity performance that is improved by 400% on Ka band and 100% on K band.
The SR7 includes a Remote Mute Button that provides convenient user muting
and volume control without reaching for the control unit. Other features include a Hidden Display
option, AutoMute (SR7 automatically mutes audible alerts after sufficient
warning), optional overlay, ExpertMeter (SR7 can simultaneously display up to
8 radar signals), and other features uniquely custom to the award winning family of radar/laser
detectors from Escort.
