Company signs on to begin advertising products on Truckin' Bozo Radio Network
West Chester, Ohio, December 10, 2002: Dale Sommers, better known as radio personality "The Truckin' Bozo", parked his rig during
a recent visit to Escort Inc., designer and producer of the world's best radar detector products. The meeting was
delayed a week due to Truckin' Bozo's increased demand for interviews about his recent civic episode
of providing radio broadcast info that was used by trucker Ron Lantz (also of Cincinnati) in the
capture of the Maryland snipers. Truckin' Bozo and the maker of the Passport, Solo, and other
familiar products, go way back - near the early days when radar detectors first appeared in vehicles
across the nation's highways. The Truckin' Bozo's voice has been heard across those same highways on
WLW AM radio since 1984.
Truckin' Bozo's visit included discussion of a new agreement in which Escort will
begin advertising nationally on Mr. Sommers' show. The Bozo welcomed the opportunity to provide help
for his listening audience, the nations backbone of overland truckers, in the form of information
about Escort Inc. The ads will begin airing in time for Christmas.
