I had a Solo RD-5110 given to me from someone who upgraded to a new radar detector. This unit works great for me since I am not a major speed demon, I just catch myself going a little over once in awhile. But the power cord that came with the unit was frayed where it went into the cigarette lighter portion and was not making a good connection. This was causing the unit to constantly turn on and off which was getting real annoying. I was pleased to see that I could get an affordable replacement and get the benefits of what is still a very good radar detector.
