Once you are notified to a threat, our SmartCord makes it easy to temporarily silence your radar detector. And don't worry, our detectors are smart enough to sense another threat and alert you in time. Even when muted, the meter on the detector will still flash the threat level and strength until you are safely out of range. Get an extra cord for each of your vehicles to make moving the detector between cars easy.

I use my Passport 9500ix in two separate cars so it was only natural for me to want to get a second power cord so that I did not have to move everything whenever I switch between the vehicles. I was happy to see that I could get a SmartCord power cord like the one that came with the radar detector so that I could still have the additional mute button at my fingertips as well as the extra flashing LED alerts.
