I have had several break-ins in my car over the years and do not appreciate having my things disappear in the night in the hands of these thieves. Since I only use my G-timer in this one car I did not need the ability to take it out to use elsewhere so I opted for the permanent mount for placing it in my car. Now if someone breaks into my vehicle to steal the valuables inside my GT2 is firmly attached to a solid surface of the car and will not easily come off for them to steal. This was a major investment for me to get the most from the performance of my car and I want to keep it as secure as possible.
