Clear out the clutter from your dash by direct wiring your radar detector straight into your fuse box. For models:

I wanted to use my Passport 9500ix on my motorcycle and was told by a friend that direct wiring the unit into the fuse box was the best way to go about installing it onto my ride.

This was a very clean and effective way to get the radar detector wired and installed so there is no excess wiring that can get in the way while I am riding. The install was a snap since the connectors were ready to go and running the wire was simple since this is a easy gauge wire to work with - not too heavy and not too light. Plus the wiring harness was affordable so I do not have a lot of money into this project in case I decide I ever want to get rid of the motorcycle I have now for some reason.
