I finally got the car I have been wanting for almost forever but I knew to truly enjoy it I needed to have a good radar detector on my side. Being on a limited budget I knew I could not get one of those top of the line remote units so I ended up choosing the C65. This mid-range model has actually performed better than I could have hoped. I usually want the best no matter what I buy and to me that usually equals the things with the higher price tag. But in this one rare case the C65 is a real value.
The performance in the Ka band has been really good for me since the law enforcement in my area tends to use this frequency more than others. Overall this is a great unit and a great buy for someone who wants the top of the line but need a deal to stay out of those speeding tickets.

Since I do shift work I get a long weekend every month where I like to take a road trip wherever I feel like going. A radar detector was a must to keep me from getting speeding tickets while I was having fun. I decided on the Escort C65 and this has turned out to be a great model for me for my trips.
Overall the model has done a good job for me to help me find the radar guns that are in the area. But the true plus of this model is the Smart Cord that comes with it. With other radar detectors if you want to hit the mute button you have to lean forward and hit the button on the dash. But with the Smart Cord you can hit the mute button that is on the power cord near your hand. For me this works out great since I have a stick and the power is right next to this so hitting the mute button is really simple.
