My radar detector experience has always been with windshield mounted detectors. We live in the midwest, our cars see both temperature extremes and my detectors have seen some pretty hot days in August and bitter cold in January and during both extremes, every detector suction cup holder has failed, no matter where I place it or what model. I received an email from Escort about their new super suction cup windshield for $20 and I immediately ordered one. It’s the most powerful cup I have ever seen. I use an Escort Redline, which is kind of heavy for a detector, and with this new super suction cup, it doesn’t move. If I try to pull the bracket and cup off with the detector, I can’t. The bracket is just super stuck to the windshield, including right now in this arctic blast winter weather. This cup is great. I wish I could use with other stuff. Thanks.
