The Passport 9500i that I purchased came with a typical coiled power cord and it never fails for me this type of cord always gets really kinked up creating a mess on my dash. This straight replacement cord was ideal for me so that I could have all the benefits that come with the smart cord but without the hassle of the coils wanting to twist together.

To make this even better at 12 feet long I was able to route the power cord around my dash with velcro in a way that gets the cord totally out of my way as well as that of my passengers while we are riding in the car. If you do not like that coiled power cord running from your lighter up to your dash this is a great solution that still enables full control of the radar detector.
