High-Efficiency Battery Design
SOLO S3 uses only a fraction of the power used by conventional corded detectors. Using 2 standard (AA) batteries (included), the SOLO S3 provides months of normal driving
protection. A new low-battery warning circuit keeps constant watch on the condition of the batteries, and provides you with both audible and visual alerts before they need to be
replaced. A new AutoPower feature (programmable) automatically turns the SOLO S3 off to conserve battery life.

The SOLO S3 uses multiple low-noise laser sensors to provide long-range warning and the widest field of view against laser encounters.
SOLO S3 packs 9-user programmable features, allowing you to customize it
for your specific driving style. Your preferred settings are stored in
memory, even when you replace SOLO
S3's batteries. Or, simply use SOLO S3's factory settings, allowing you
to just turn it on and go.
High-Resolution Graphic Display
A new brilliant OLED display makes the SOLO S3 intuitive to use and easy
to understand. Each radar, laser or SWS signal is identified and
communicated to you with clear messages.
Signal strength is provided using two types of meters (programmable)
which include Standard Bar-graph and ExpertMeter.

Didn't know what an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) display was, but the Solo S3 display is sure is a lot easier to see than the LCD my old Solo S2! Due to job-related travel, I'm in rental cars too much to use a corded detector - just can't depend on a lighter/power socket being located within easy reach of a cord in many new cars. I was happy with my Solo S2, until I dropped it and cracked the display... When I called about repair, I found out that even my broken Solo could be traded in toward the new Solo S3, so that's what I decided to do. I haven't had the S3 very long, but it does seem to have longer range on the K and Ka bands than my S2. Easier to read display, longer range, Escort took my old Solo in trade, what's not to like? Cordless is cool!
