Important:
Location Database Updates and Detector Software Updates for the Passport 9500ix, Passport 9500i, and Passport 9500ci require a Windows based computer. (Operating on Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 only.)

Detector must be powered (if not using a laptop with the car turned on, Passport 9500i and Passport 9500ix require a Radar Detector 12 Volt Adapter - not included with detectors).

Both the Passport 9500i and Passport 9500ix require an USB A to Mini USB cable (USB printer cable required for Passport 9500ci) - not included with detector - before you can install location database updates and detector software updates.

I always hear that no radar detector can totally prevent a speeding ticket and I still know that is true, but with the 9500ci you come as close to perfection as possible. This radar detector has been a true hero for me on the interstate that I have to travel frequently. I live in a hilly area and the interstate is not flat as a pancake but my new 9500ci has picked up the radar gun each and every time with plenty of warning.

It also does a great job for me when I am in cities and towns where in the past my other unit, that I will not mention, would have been going crazy for nothing. I am still amazed at the accuracy each and every day and I am so glad that it has removed those conversations on the side of the road about where I am going in such a hurry.

There may be some who question spending this much on radar detection, but those same people may not have a performance car they enjoy drivng. This custom installed 9500ci has done wonders for helping me avoid all kinds of speeding tickets in several states.

Between the very sensitive but accurate radar detection and the laser shifting, I have managed to make my way through several states with only confused looks from police officers. Plus the 9500ci's ability to learn from its own false alarms without me doing a thing is a huge plus. On routes I travel often it is able to pick up what are false alarms and remember them so that they do not interfere with the unit when I pass by again.

If you really want to enjoy your car, this is the system to buy so that you can stay under the radar, almost literally!
