Dual Antenna Design

RedLine's new twin antenna design provides an all new level of radar performance. Tuned specifically for each radar band, this approach enables RedLine to deliver the longest possible warning on all radar bands, including the latest "POP" mode.

Compatible With ESCORT Live!

PASSPORT RedLine is compatible with ESCORT Live, our award-winning app and exclusive real-time ticket-protection network, which warns you of upcoming alerts received and reported by other users in the area, and gives you access to local speed limit data for over-speed alerts.

Optional SmartCord® Live for $39.95 with detector purchase. Download the app for free.

Ka Segment Adjust

Ka Segment Adjust allows you to select which segments of the Superwide Ka band are scanned by RedLine. Radar Detector Rejection (RDR) minimizes false alerts by rejecting alerts caused by other nearby radar detectors. Toggling RDR off will increase radar detection performance with potentially more false Ka alerts.

Traffic Sensor Rejection

The PASSPORT RedLine includes our proprietary Traffic Sensor Rejection (TSR) software to eliminate false alerts.

Next Gen Laser Detection

RedLine's multiple laser sensors are strategically positioned to detect even the smallest amount of laser light, including off-axis signals.

What is included with the RedLine?
The RedLine comes complete with a travel case, quick release window mount, coiled SmartCord, owner's manual, one year warranty and 30 day money back trial period.
Is it the most sensitive model available? vs. 8500 X50, vs. 9500ix, vs. iQ?
The Redline is the most sensitive dash model available on the market but it does not have the GPS features of the Passport 9500ix. The Passport 8500 X50 Black, the Passport iQ and the Passport 9500ix have similar radar and laser performance, but the 8500 X50 does not include the GPS features. The Passport iQ combines radar/laser detection and a full GPS navigation system in one convenient model.
Can it be used overseas?
We do not monitor frequencies used overseas, but many customers travel abroad with their Passport.
What is Expert Mode?
Expert Mode will show you up to 8 radar signals at the same time and will show relative signal strength and associated Band of each signal.
Where are they illegal?
Radar detectors are completely legal to use in non-commercial vehicles in 49 states. Virginia and Washington D.C. are the only places in the United States that currently ban radar detectors. Radar detector use in commercial vehicles has been prohibited in the U.S. since 1995 and radar detectors are also illegal in most Canadian provinces. We do not track detector regulations in other countries.
What is the warranty period?
All our products ordered factory direct come with a full one-year factory warranty. We also offer an Extended Service Plan on select models that will provide two additional years of warranty for $29.95.

If you are looking for a high quality detector this is the one. The new firmware negated the only weakness this RD once had which was slow response, now that it has been taken care of, this is the best overall detector money can buy, it has ridiculous range, will pick up sneaky radar traps no matter how talented the officer, and the filtering is much more refined than the other guys top offering, you can actually live with the Redline with other people in the car, rather than constant falses and flashing arrows. If you have the money and are deciding if this detector is worth it, I assure you it is. You will be shocked at how far it sees, and how it seems to see through all manner of trees, hills, buildings and around corners. You will not regret spending the money after the first time it saves you from a ticket. Do it.

External Screws are Corroded / Poor Customer Service

By Balance5150.net

from Alameda, CA

About Me Auto Professional, Gearhead

Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

The product was delivered with corroded and/or oxidized screws.
Contacted customer service to find out I was not the first to have concerns regarding this issue.
Rep was very helpful and sympathetic and worked out a replacement.
Unfortunately, when the replacement came it had the same problem with corroded hardware.
Contacted customer service again but this time the representative was far from helpful.
Rep was unwilling/unable to contact anyone to attempt to make sure it wouldn't happen again.
This kind of poor quality of bot the hardware and environmental controls mixed with the poor experience with customer service has forced me to return the product.

    Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

By itself, the master of detection sensitivity by a long shot, when paired with the escort live app, simply the best detector bar none. As far as sensitivity is concerned it puts the already excellent 9500 ix to shame. Once paired to your smart phone, its only deficiency, the lack of GPS, is completely resolved allowing you to lock out false alerts plus access to the redlight and speed trap database. The app also allows instant adjustments to the detector settings like setting the so called "XR" settings which increase sensitivity even further while falsing even less! Note: if you want to use the app it requires the blue tooth smart cord which is an additional expense but entirely worth it. If you require the best protection this is it, period. BTW, the GPS on your phone is a lot better than the units in the 360 or other detectors providing superior lockout and position data.

      Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

This is a beast of radar, I'd given it 5 stars, but only downside is kband falsing due to the newer vehicles avoidance systems.
Hopefully an update to help filter them out will eventually come, but out on the open road this is a monster. Blows any other escort radar away, all of escorts radars are compared to this...unless you city drive this is the only radar to get...

      Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

Outstanding range and sensitivity. However, this is not a plug-and-play device that provides immediate protection w/o your intervention. You must take some time to get used to this detector in your driving environment. You must also know that not every LEO you pass is running active RADAR/LIDAR when you pass them. You must also know what VASCAR is. You will learn as you use it. This tool will serve you far better if you are educated.
I have used the Redline for three years and in various cars, Hinda Civic Si, MB S600, BMW 540i, all driven up and down the eastern seaboard above the limits. The reception/sensitivity on RADAR is bar-none the best I have ever used in highway mode. In city driving it tends to pickup foreign RADAR sources in dense electronic environments but I fiind I am not speeding through the city in the first place. I mainly use this detector in interstate/intrastate highway driving where I can drive without fear of being ticketed on the open road. It just works, almost too well. If it alerts, then there is a RADAR source ahead, and it could be many miles ahead but it's out there.
The LIDAR/LASER detection works well, allowing me time to slow down and move over (I don't have laser shifters).
I have driven through Virginia and DC many times, past many LEOs and have never been detected.
For the enthusiast driver, especially on the highway this is my detector of choice.

The detector works so well that when it signals you begin to look for the threat but then you realize that it can detect from so far away it'l take you a minute or two to actually see Smokey waiting on those that don't have an Escort.

I live in the Speed trap Capitol of Louisiana. I knew it wouldn't be hard for me to test this radar. Once I received the product in the mail I immediately installed it and tested it. As soon as I got on the road it started alarming, and sure enough, a mile ahead of me was a Parish/County Sheriff. However after passing 5 city policemen, 1 Parish Sheriff and 3 State Troopers the Redline only went off once. And the one time it did, I was within 50 yards of the parked city policemen. This is not worth the money

This Escort is my first Radar Detector and I love it. My speaker went out in less than 6 months of having it. I was gonna send it in to have it repaired, but I can't be without it. So, I got a speaker that fits perfect in the cup holder and it works perfectly. My big brother who is a motorcycle racer got me this and told me that he got me the best radar detector on the market. And he was right!!!! Anytime I drive another car I bring my Escort with me, in most cases. If I don't bring my Escort I don't speed, and it feels like I'm not getting anywhere. Lol!!!

I drive mostly Highway and Town/city driving. Redline alerts mildly in the city/town with sometimes false K band. (Can be totally configured manually to alert maybe 2-3times) I don't mind the false alerts with auto mute.

As for KA band (cops 99.9% of the time) Caught a NYS Trooper around a bend on the expressway, saved me from a ticket (75 in a 55)
