Dual Antenna Design

RedLine's new twin antenna design provides an all new level of radar performance. Tuned specifically for each radar band, this approach enables RedLine to deliver the longest possible warning on all radar bands, including the latest "POP" mode.

Compatible With ESCORT Live!

PASSPORT RedLine is compatible with ESCORT Live, our award-winning app and exclusive real-time ticket-protection network, which warns you of upcoming alerts received and reported by other users in the area, and gives you access to local speed limit data for over-speed alerts.

Optional SmartCord® Live for $39.95 with detector purchase. Download the app for free.

Ka Segment Adjust

Ka Segment Adjust allows you to select which segments of the Superwide Ka band are scanned by RedLine. Radar Detector Rejection (RDR) minimizes false alerts by rejecting alerts caused by other nearby radar detectors. Toggling RDR off will increase radar detection performance with potentially more false Ka alerts.

Traffic Sensor Rejection

The PASSPORT RedLine includes our proprietary Traffic Sensor Rejection (TSR) software to eliminate false alerts.

Next Gen Laser Detection

RedLine's multiple laser sensors are strategically positioned to detect even the smallest amount of laser light, including off-axis signals.

Clear Voice Alerts

RedLine's easy to understand digital voice alerts keep you informed without taking your eyes off the road.

What is included with the RedLine?
The RedLine comes complete with a travel case, quick release window mount, coiled SmartCord, owner's manual, one year warranty and 30 day money back trial period.
Is it the most sensitive model available? vs. 8500 X50, vs. 9500ix, vs. iQ?
The Redline is the most sensitive dash model available on the market but it does not have the GPS features of the Passport 9500ix. The Passport 8500 X50 Black, the Passport iQ and the Passport 9500ix have similar radar and laser performance, but the 8500 X50 does not include the GPS features. The Passport iQ combines radar/laser detection and a full GPS navigation system in one convenient model.
Can it be used overseas?
We do not monitor frequencies used overseas, but many customers travel abroad with their Passport.
What is Expert Mode?
Expert Mode will show you up to 8 radar signals at the same time and will show relative signal strength and associated Band of each signal.
Where are they illegal?
Radar detectors are completely legal to use in non-commercial vehicles in 49 states. Virginia and Washington D.C. are the only places in the United States that currently ban radar detectors. Radar detector use in commercial vehicles has been prohibited in the U.S. since 1995 and radar detectors are also illegal in most Canadian provinces. We do not track detector regulations in other countries.
What is the warranty period?
All our products ordered factory direct come with a full one-year factory warranty. We also offer an Extended Service Plan on select models that will provide two additional years of warranty for $29.95.

If you are looking for a high quality detector this is the one. The new firmware negated the only weakness this RD once had which was slow response, now that it has been taken care of, this is the best overall detector money can buy, it has ridiculous range, will pick up sneaky radar traps no matter how talented the officer, and the filtering is much more refined than the other guys top offering, you can actually live with the Redline with other people in the car, rather than constant falses and flashing arrows. If you have the money and are deciding if this detector is worth it, I assure you it is. You will be shocked at how far it sees, and how it seems to see through all manner of trees, hills, buildings and around corners. You will not regret spending the money after the first time it saves you from a ticket. Do it.

The product was delivered with corroded and/or oxidized screws.
Contacted customer service to find out I was not the first to have concerns regarding this issue.
Rep was very helpful and sympathetic and worked out a replacement.
Unfortunately, when the replacement came it had the same problem with corroded hardware.
Contacted customer service again but this time the representative was far from helpful.
Rep was unwilling/unable to contact anyone to attempt to make sure it wouldn't happen again.
This kind of poor quality of bot the hardware and environmental controls mixed with the poor experience with customer service has forced me to return the product.

Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

I've been buying escort, passport, and Bell for over 25 years, I've had the 9500 IX which gave me all of 500 feet range if that against ka-band I could literally see the officer before I got any alert on a very busy highway where my red line would easily pick that up in my laser Jammers would cover me if he was using that. Point is ever since red lines made it available to turn on and off RDR radar detection rejection has made my red line go from an average long-range Highway detector 2 the most insane range detector out there. I've had mine now since 2014 is the newest one actually as soon as you guys put out in 2013 I believe the new red line I grabbed it that day and March. I remember and I have never looked back since some people may not like the extra chatter noise but once you get used to the detector you can actually turn certain bands on and off such as certain frequencies that are not used by police are now able to manually put in the band's you want and used in your area and I still keep K Band on but I rarely run into it anymore the only place I run into it is actually where I live in my city police Port Saint Lucie uses K Band and so does Vero Beach and spotty all over
But for the most part the band isn't used in Florida but I still leave it on. I haven't had a ticket since 2002 using Bell at 1st and then once Redline came out I started switching to them around 2009 but prior to that I was always a bell guy. Keep it up thank you

    Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

I've had my redline for a couple of years it's been in for service once already and now broken again for the cost of the redline I would of thought it would be a lot more durable but it's trash and has cost me close to $1000 to buy send in for repairs and cost me to get a speeding ticket I don't recommend plus customer service is horrible

Redline on I-25 From NM to CA - Does Not Work

    Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

Over the past 6 months I have drove between NM and CA many times. Passed parked Highway Patrol cars clocking people, cars with people pulled over and cars on the road. Not one KA band signal. In NM and CA and NV, tons of signals in AZ, none? Not sure why? Used the detector in all modes and even programmed it as outlined on youtube, still the same results, Nothing. Be careful in AZ if you are using the Redline.

    V1 vs Redline

    About Me Gearhead, Tuner

    Pros

    • Good Sensitivity

    Cons

    • Gives False Reads

    Best Uses

    • Highway Driving

    Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

I bought the Redline and the V1 at the same time, prior to a 5k+ mile vacation. I planned to run them both at the same time, and determine which one I liked best and return the other when I got home. Unfortunately for my wife, both detectors performed so well that I have decided to keep both!

Prior to the road trip, I set them up as recommended by Vortex in his YouTube videos.

I set both up with the equivalent of:
    1) X Off
    2) K on
    3) KA Superwide Off
    4) KA Guard Off, or whatever escort calls it. When on, it reduces falses on the KA band that are caused by other leaky detectors in cars that drive by you or are near you. Turning this Off has been proven to increase the KA detection range
    5) Traffic Safety Monitor (TSM) or whatever it's called was set to Off
    6) Traffic Sensor Rejection (TSR) to Off. Turning this On has been proved to reduce detection range on the K band
    7) Laser On
    8) KA Bands 2, 5 and 8 On, all others Off

What I like about the Redline:
    1) KA range is superior to the V1. The Redline consistently altered to KA signals first, sometimes by 1 - 2 seconds, and other times by 5 - 8 seconds. Regardless, both detectors were alerting to C/O signals 2 - 3 miles away, so there was PLENTY of time to slow down prior to getting clocked.
    2) The Sticky Cup held the Redline in place very well, without any movement
    3) The detector is MUCH easier to remove from the mount than my last detector I had about 15 years ago. Very much appreciated!
    4) The Redline case is great! I keep both detectors in my car, and use the Redline case to store the V1 and the Redline
    5) The smart card with the mute/report is very nice.
    6) more, but no space to write!

      Comments about ESCORT RedLine:

By itself, the master of detection sensitivity by a long shot, when paired with the escort live app, simply the best detector bar none. As far as sensitivity is concerned it puts the already excellent 9500 ix to shame. Once paired to your smart phone, its only deficiency, the lack of GPS, is completely resolved allowing you to lock out false alerts plus access to the redlight and speed trap database. The app also allows instant adjustments to the detector settings like setting the so called "XR" settings which increase sensitivity even further while falsing even less! Note: if you want to use the app it requires the blue tooth smart cord which is an additional expense but entirely worth it. If you require the best protection this is it, period. BTW, the GPS on your phone is a lot better than the units in the 360 or other detectors providing superior lockout and position data.

This is a beast of radar, I'd given it 5 stars, but only downside is kband falsing due to the newer vehicles avoidance systems.
Hopefully an update to help filter them out will eventually come, but out on the open road this is a monster. Blows any other escort radar away, all of escorts radars are compared to this...unless you city drive this is the only radar to get...
