Amazing Upgrade

I have an Escort Max 360. I have had for about 6 years. I got the cable plugged it into my computer and my radar is like a new one !. New images on the screen and it doesn't pick up the random places like it used too. Awesome !

A: Thank you for your question. The Mini USB Cable will not power up either device. This cable is strictly used only for updating your device via a PC or MAC computer.

A: We sell Direct Wire Kits on our website. Another option is to try a third party solution such as a USB to 12v adapter. If considering an adapter, it is important that you confirm that the adapter matches the electrical specifications of your vehicles 12v outlet. While solutions like these work for most users, we cannot guarantee performance with third party products.

A: The Mini USB cable is for updating the detector only. For power, you will need a cord with the RJ11 connector on one end, while the other end is connected to a 12V power source.

You can use a USB to cigarette lighter adapter to turn a USB port into a cigarette lighter port or you can have a direct wire installed. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team for assistance. Thanks!

Q: Is there a in-car power cord from a USB port for a Passport 9500IX? My 2023 Corvette doesn't have a cigarette plug, and Chevy has warned not to wire direct into rear view mirror.

A: We do not currently offer a USB power option. The cable in question is for connecting to a computer to update the detector. There are some third party products that can allow you to change a USB port into a cigarette lighter port. Our recommended solution to ensure success is to have a direct wire cable installed.
